Find Schleicher County Records

Start with the type and timing of the record. Schleicher County has no verified public live jail roster or booking feed. For a recent county booking, custody question, or existing record request, begin with the Sheriff’s Office. A written Texas Public Information Act request should ask for existing records and identify the person and relevant date range. No dedicated Sheriff booking-record form or booking-photo fee schedule was located.

For a written request, send or deliver it to the Sheriff’s physical or mailing address and ask the office to identify the current Officer for Public Information if another custodian is responsible. The email sheriff@co.schleicher.tx.us appeared in a public document, but the current county page does not identify it as a records-office mailbox. Use it to confirm routing or to send a duplicate, not as the only delivery method. The sheriff complaint and compliment forms are not public-records request forms.

VINELink is the Sheriff’s linked route for current custody and notification information. It does not supply a booking photograph, a complete jail register, or a court disposition. A person may leave county custody and never appear in the state-prison system. For a court result after arrest, use the County Clerk, District Clerk, Justice of the Peace, or the court where the case was filed. Charges at booking are allegations, and a later disposition can change how the matter is described.

State and federal locators serve different custody systems. Use the TDCJ offender search for people committed to Texas state custody; TDCJ does not provide public inmate photographs. The Federal Bureau of Prisons locator is for federal inmates, not county bookings. The ICE Online Detainee Locator concerns immigration custody and should be used only when the facts point to that system. No local ICE contract was verified in the research.

These record paths lead to different custodians. A call or request should name the person, relevant date or time range, and the record sought so the office can identify the appropriate response.

  • Current county custody, release, transfer, booking, or a county booking record: Sheriff’s Office, with VINELink for its limited custody-status role.
  • Written request for an existing county booking record or photograph: Sheriff’s Office through the Texas Public Information Act path.
  • Class C misdemeanor warrant question: Justice of the Peace page and its OmniBase link, followed by court confirmation.
  • Case file or later court disposition: County Clerk, District Clerk, Justice of the Peace, or the filing court.
  • Sentenced state-prison custody: TDCJ offender search, which is separate from a county booking and has no public photo service.
  • Federal or immigration custody: BOP or ICE locator only when the known facts point to the corresponding federal system.
